I loved Pitch Black and even liked Chronicles so I thought for sure this was a win for me, and it was, mostly.

The pic and sound are top notch, plenty of surround and bass.some nice extra features top,off the blu.

As for the film itself, if you are a fan of Pitch Black you will like this. For most anyone else it's a rental.

I like Riddick far better than Chronicles. Pitch Black is still my favorite though. Interesting story on Chronicles and Riddick both produced by Vin Diesel. When Fast and Furious 4 was about to shoot Vin Deisel only agreed to star in it if they gave him the rights to Chronicle and all sequels. So he did Fast and Furious for free and got the rights. He then got to do the movie his way and Produced both of the movies making him far more money than just getting paid for Fast and Furious. The studios literally thought that any sequel after Pitch Black would suck and not earn any real money. Granted Chronicles wasn't the best it still made Vin Diesel a very rich man and made him enough money to fund Riddick all on his own.
