Here's an even better deal:
$383 and free shipping for the RX-V673. This is pretty much the same as my 773 which is now back up to $800.

I have a 50 ft HDMI running from a Cox DVR to a TV in another room.
It works fine but the longer length shows in the time it takes a picture to appear on the Sammy LCD. I can cout to 5-6 before I get a signal . After that, all is good.
With coax cable, it was instantly (in SD).
At the risk of having to be deprogrammed (good luck with that).
I just played the first 3 songs and this is PFG stuff! :music-rockout:
I'm also happy that there are a few more concert type BD's coming out. My store had both the DVD and the BD for $20.
Even without a 1080P TV, I think the...
I'm not sure if this has been covered here before. So, I'll relate my experiences with my new Yammy receiver.
The book on my Pioneer DV-610AV universal player says the it would output SACD/DVD-A over HDMI. After hooking everything up, I could only get 2.0 with a number of discs. I thought I was...
I forgot to mention the free shipping.
Order it on Sunday, ships on Monday and it is out for delivery on Tuesday (today).
That's my idea of quick shipping.
It will be running tonight. :banana-rock:
It will take a few days to switch out receivers upstairs. I'm glad I stocked up on bannana...
Well, after ten years of loyal service, my Denon 1802 died on me. This is in my secondary office system so everything is hooked up analog. 5.1 for the universal disc player and a turntable.
Boy, it's hard to get analog inputs on a $500 - $1500 receiver. Phono inputs are almost as rare.
My one...
Not with my BR from Amazon. I think there are BR/CD sets on Burning Shed.
Edit: It's out of stock there:

I've been an Eric Burdon Fan since the 60's. There is something about his voice and presence that make me keep buying the entire catalog.
His latest does not dissapoint.
Highly reccomended.
Chris:
I have the Blue Ray version and have listened to it once. It's not Porcupine Tree but it is Steven Wilson at his surround sound best.
A little laid back but enveloping with the speaker placements.
Mike Mettler gives it glowing praise in this months S&V mag (I know, I know). Also high...
Actualy the first new Hi-rez MC disc purchased, ever since I bought the five matched Studio 20's.
Steven does MC better than anyone.
Different, to be sure.
Raven That Refused To Sing - Steven Wilson
My PS3 decided to freeze up on me, just when I brought home Steven Wilsons latest Blueray MC release. :angry-cussingblack:
I got it going, but just bought the BDT220 as a backup. ($79)
The oppo might be in my future, if I had a 1080P TV in my main HT.

Just saw that one of the most amazing guitar players I ever heard just died from complications from surgery: Alvin Lee. He was part of the WBRU (Boston) experience during my youth.
His performance at Woodstock was...
Hey Barn.
You are right, no talk for a while.
How is retirement treating you?
I'm starting to feel too old for the gang here. :scared-yipes: It's my fault, I know. I just don't feel like chatting as much as I used to.
Time to ramp it up a little.
