The Future via Mergers

Flimsy thread title but wondering hoe the ATT- Discovery deal and now the announced purchase of MGM by Amazon.

Any though a about the future?

The only streaming I pay for is Amazoid, and having access to all the James Bond flicks may be cool, although to be honest I haven't watched an entire movie via streaming yet (I've got stacks of books and mags to get thru first).
I do NOT have good feelings about Bezosebub buying up our entire culture/economy, and try to buy local when I can.

Unfortunately, physical media will soon be gone and all content will be subject to instant cancellation by our woke corporate overlords. I stream pretty much everything, but I do not trust big tech or any of these streaming companies to uphold the integrity of the original work if they make it available at all.

Meh ... I'll trade convenience and access for the integrity of the original work any day.

I stream everything, but I have to be careful that I don't end up paying more for the various streaming services then I would for cable/directv. $6.99 here $14.99 there, $60.00 for YouTube TV, it adds up and I still what 4 or 5 shows and have more options then ever before.
