Psy bothers me. Immensely. I don't know why. I just get irritated when I see him. And I really don't understand how or why Gangnam Style became the sensation that it did. But hey, his bank account has likely grown significantly in the past year so good for him. :bow-blue:

I dont get it either.

My elementary school age children love that Gangham Style song. The PE teacher plays it on rain days and they dance and exorcise to it. My son comes home and does that bowl legged dance move on XBOX just Just Dance its pretty funny to see.

Not that clever but I am a very poor speller.
 
Psy is hardly the first person to have found crazy success with annoying sounds that barely border on being "music".
 
There are a lot of K-Pop acts that are considerably better. CN Blue, Shinee and Girls' Generation all come to mind.

Well I learned something new today K-pop didn't know there was a designation for this crap er music :D.

Actually the second group is ok my daughter came running really likes and there visually stunning if ya know what I mean ;)
 
Korean Pop music is HUGE all over the world right now and is even making inroads here in the States. My wife and daughter are really into it, so I hear a lot of it. The chicks in Girl's Generation are insanely hot.
 
So, 20 years ago, it was j-pop, now it's Korea's turn. Then c-pop in 20 years from now?

BTW, those 2 videos look and sound a lot like the pop music already seen and heard here in US, n sync, Britney Spears...etc... :sleeping-boring: :sleeping-sleeping:
 
Pop music is pop music. It's all puerile crap, but catchy puerile crap. I wonder if they thought much the same stuff about Michael Jackson and Madonna.
