IPOD 1st Generation NANO Recall.... Battery

Back in November I received an email from Apple saying some 1st gen nano were being recalled for a battery issue. go to a web site to see if yours included via serial number. it was, filled out a form. they sent me a pre-paid shipping box/lable. sent it back and last week i received a replacement. they apologized that because of the age of the 1st gen and the lack of availablity they provided a newer model. So here I sit with a a 6th gen nano with double storage. mine was 4 gb this is 8 gb. its great to get a new device. i guess my point is i'm impressed that after so many years that apple did this. maybe it was a safety issue and were forced to by law/regulation. honestly i very rarely used the nano. i have a classic w 160 gb and thats my main device. the 6th gen has added features. fitness tracker via some Nike app.. will use it on the treadmill.. fm receiver and 18 faces for a wrist watch. so i ordered the band. ipod clips in. good for treadmill or just working around the house. using it now as i write this.

thanks apple....
