Have a question about the Danley Wards. The way you describe it having a nice open airy quality. So do you get the real fullness that SVS subs seem to have? I have heard some of the entry/mid level subs and there is a fullness to their sound that I really love.
I need to spend another day...
Right now Danley has the kit on sale again until September for under $1,100. Now the only catch is no amp included so in the end I think one would be looking at $1,400 roughly.
Yeah I am aware of the size. We are beginning to finish out our basement and will have a dedicated theater, won't be the biggest theater but will be 16Wx25Lx10H. The sub will be hidden within the room. I was mainly curious about its performance compared to the SVS and HSU.
A local friend of...
Did the free trial of Hulu Plus and honestly hated the idea of paying for a service that makes you watch the commercials. We just use Netflix and an OTA antenna.
I was wondering if anyone here has compared the Danley DTS-10 to either the SVS PB-13 Ultra or HSU VTF-15H?
I got to listen to a pair of Danleys this weekend and while they were extremely loud and played low, they were turned up a bit loud to really get in a good listening session. I haven't...
So I ended up going with a Samsung LN46C750 LCD tv. We have been extremely happy with the TV so far. The online capabilities with the TV are very cool. It is 3D capable, but I doubt we are going to ever use that feature. The picture looks great! I would highly recommend this set to anyone...
So I ended up purchasing the Panasonic DMP-BDT210 BluRay player. So far I am extremely pleased with it.
Seems to have all the bells and whistles as some higher priced players including 3D and Wi-Fi.
Thanks for all of the help!
I saw the LG demonstration at bestbuy recently and I thought it was pretty pathetic. My only 3D experience has been at a theater so I can't compare it to the active sets that are out. My wife and I sat there for about 3 minutes watching the aquarium footage and both shrugged our shoudlers and...
So the built-in wifi makes a difference? Will it help with automatic updates?
I have seen some complaints with both the sony and samsung about the Netflix interface. Have you guys noticed any issues with Netflix?
Since, I am finally moving into the BluRay market I am in search of a player. There seemed to be a lot of talk about the Sony 570, but since that was last years model I am having some trouble tracking one down. The Sony 580 is out now, but seems a little steep around $179-199.
I have looked...
Thanks for the link Rope. There is some good information over there. Based off what I read there and here the 750 mentioned above is a good candidate.
May go ahead and pull the trigger since Amazon adjusts their prices often and I would hate for the price to jump back up to ~$1200-1400.
Wow, thanks for all of the responses! That Samsung 750 model looks very nice and within our price range.

We could pick up a BluRay player at the same time instead of waiting.
I'm noticing with Samsung LCD models that they either start...
Alright, my wife and I have decided to buy a new TV in the next month or two. Since, the video side of this hobby has never been a huge priority I don't know a whole lot about the different technologies available, like all the LED stuff with LCD panels. I came up with a short list of things...
Thanks for all of the responses. Clears it up for me.
Also, neat website Flint. I've been curious where notes on the bass guitar relate to a specific frequency.
This is going to seem like a very dumb question and for that I apologize...
What frequency ranges make up the categories of these: bass, midrange, and treble?
I know that it seems simple and I'm guessing that I should know the answer, but I started thinking about it today while thinking of...
