Bitches!!!!
Got it last week. Ordered from BB (since they were really the only place to get one). Picked up the Kingsmen from BB at the Mall of Georgia.
Definite improvement over blu ray. Having an HDR set makes a world of difference (the JS8500 is). Setup was pretty easy and took about 2...
I'll try it and see how it is.
Just watched Goosebumps with Atmos. Pretty good!
Throughout the whole movie I kept thinking that Slappy the Dummy reminded me of someone. Then it hit me. Ted Cruz.
Movie was great with Atmos. Flying insects, the green mantis and the invisible boy were well...
I have the SUHD JS8500 4K tv from Samsung. Never looked into the apps much, other than Vudu and Netflix. The M-Go is a nightmare on this set for some reason and I lost patience with it. I'll check it out and see if Plex is on it.
Another thing I forgot to mention. With the new Denon, I can now use it as a media server from my computer to the tv and receiver. I have all my music on the computer (well a few hard drives) and had been using a streamer from Gracedigital. The Denon blows that out of the water (and one less...
One thing to consider too re: updating your non-Atmos receiver. DTS:X is coming (already the update is available on some Denon/Marantz models) and from what I hear, is a major step up in terms of how sound is processed. Waiting for the update on my receiver (should be sometime this month I...
The sound is hard to describe. You do get overhead (like airplanes, helicopters, birds, and rain showers), but also get a lot more. It's almost like when we went from 2 channel stereo to 7.1 (or 5.1). It just adds another layer of depth and sound and fills the whole room. If you can find a place...
You could probably try using a pair of bookshelves and see how they work for you. I went with the upfiring Klipsch and they work great. You could also go with in-ceiling speakers. I was going to go that route, but after the installer came out to see the work area, he said there was no way anyone...
Finally decided to go with the Atmos speakers and see if they worked in my house. Bought a new Denon 4200 and the upfiring Klipsch speakers. Wasn't expecting them to work because most everyone said that (a) the ceilings in my house were too high, ](2) vaulted ceilings don't work (they do but you...
Are Atmos speakers and Front Height Speakers the same thing??
Went to look at the Klipsch towers with atmos built in and the guy at the audio/video place (not Best Buy) said that it's the same only a different name.
My older Marantz has speaker connections for Front Height speakers...
Just read that the show has been axed. No season 2.
It had potential but apparently the writers couldn't seem to find it.
But at least we still have Real Housewives of (fill in whatever city is the flavor of the season).
I believe it's a mirror that is on the opposite wall that is causing that.
This house is very different than the other houses I've lived in. Lots of windows, lots of roof angles, and very few interior walls. Not sure how I like it but I'm here (for now).
I see these tv shows on HGTV where...
