You suck!! :D Let us know your impressions after you've listened to them for a bit.

    PSB Image series

Many years ago I randomly stopped by a dealer, and they had the PSB Image B25 on display. They were very enjoyable to listen to, and for only $350 a pair (at the time), I was really tempted to just buy them even though I'm not an impulse buyer nor was I actually looking to make a purchase...

What happens when Flint makes a Line Array?

Hey @Flint, I remember you telling me about this idea back when I visited a few months ago, it's great to see it come to fruition now! Looks like a really fun project! And I like how you and @Dentman have been delineating between subjective enjoyment vs. objective accuracy.

Relatively Affordable Music Library and Player: The Brennan B2

I'm also curious about how the Brennan's hardware measures. For ripping my CDs, I use Exact Audio Copy which includes AccurateRip, which compares hashes of your rips to other people's rips and let's you know how many matches there are. It's a pretty cool way of letting you know you got a good rip.

    Dynaudio Revamped the Confidence Line

Initially I saw pricing for the Australian and European regions, and when you converted those prices to USD, it was almost double current pricing . So it sounds like the US pricing is a little better, but that's still a big increase in price. I'm glad I bought my C1's when I did. The...

Relatively Affordable Music Library and Player: The Brennan B2

A moot question at this point since you're no longer using the Squeezebox ecosystem, but do you remember if the Squeezebox settings were configured to stream FLAC natively? And just curious, what did your measurements reveal?

Relatively Affordable Music Library and Player: The Brennan B2

Flint, didn't you used to use Squeezeboxes? Is there a reason this is catching your interest away from the Squeezebox ecosystem? Or is it because this Brennan consolidates a CD player, music player/streamer, and possibly fileserver all in one?

New (for me) Halo A23 and P3!!!

Wow nice score!! Admittedly I don't browse Craigslist much, but whenever I do, I rarely find anything interesting, let alone at a good price.

Magico A3: entry level at 10k

According to their Audiogon posting, Austin Acoustic is asking $570,000 for the system  Only 15 days left to bid on it, better hurry! https://www.audiogon.com/listings/lis8i5b3-austin-acoustic-sp-4r-4-way-horn-speakers-at-lsaf-2018-full-range

Magico A3: entry level at 10k

Regarding Volti Audio, they had a sign saying they were sold out of everything and the system they brought to the show was something that had sitting around. The music they had playing was I think a cover of You Haven't Done Nothin' (originally by Stevie Wonder), but with a female singer. I...

Magico A3: entry level at 10k

It was nice meeting you too! I only had time to check things out for a couple hours, so I went through the rooms fairly quickly. But it was nice to see this show bring in a few more high end and mainstream brands. I'm sure a lot of people like the indie / grassroots culture of the show, but...

Magico A3: entry level at 10k

Hey @Wardsweb, I'm planning to stop by Lone Star Audio Fest, and am also looking forward to hearing Magico's (haven't heard any of their speakers yet). Perhaps we could meet up depending on the day/time. I'll PM you!

My Video From Pirelli World Challenge

Back in March I went to Austin, TX to watch Pirelli World Challenge at Circuit of the Americas. During that trip I also got the opportunity to meet up with @Flint, which was great! I like to dabble in making videos, and normally try to make them more polished, but out of convenience I mostly...

    Emotiva amps

I was another member who had the toroidal hum issue with the 2-channel version of the Monolith amp. I also tried the Emotiva CMX-2, and while it worked for @Razz, it unfortunately didn't work for me. I'm still not sure if it's my electrical system or if I just got a rare dud. It was a great...

    C1's + 13

Glad to hear there aren't any negative effects of the ADC and DAC conversions! I too am jealous of the workmanship of the cabinets, I'm not very handy with woodworking at all  Any update on whether you're going to paint them?

    Sony UBP-X800

I've had my eye on this unit, even though for now I just need standard Blu-Ray playback. It seems like it's better built than a lot of other budget-friendly Blu-Ray players. Most review sites speak favorably of the X800, though the reviews on Amazon are ok rather than great. For those who own...

    C1's + 13

Amazing job @heeman and @Flint !! As a fellow C1 owner, I'm jealous! I see you're using the analog inputs/outputs of the miniDSP, I'm guessing you have the line-level analog outputs of your pre/pro going to the miniDSP? In this situation, I'm assuming the miniDSP does analog-to-digital...

Can you hear audio quality? Online Randomized Test

I stumbled across that NPR site a long while back and thought it was a neat test. Taking it several times, I could fairly consistently discern which one was the uncompressed WAV for all the songs except the Mozart Piano Concerto. Even after about 20 tries, I was averaging ~50% accuracy of...
