I've just upgraded the forum software to Xenforo 2.0. Please let me know if you have any problems with it. I'm still working on installing styles... coming soon.
Perhaps start by setting your center on the receiver to small. Or do you have this already set? Their really isn't a need for the subs in a center. Let me know.
As @Flint mentioned, either speaker can be driven easily. The C208 is 50% more than the Paradigm retail. Could this be a concern?
Perhaps i am confused. Why did you want to swap out the Deftech center? It looks similar to the Paradigm being black and sleek. If your wife likes the Deftech towers I don't see a need to swap the center. You are guaranteed the center is timbre matched to your mains.
Stop Making Sense. Yes a concert movie but this is one of my favorite of all time. I had the house to myself last night so I had it turned up. One of the true performances and albums I can watch/listen from front to back. It is only the DVD copy but the audio sounded great. The video had...
Completely unrelated to audio but years back I was in martial arts doing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muy Thai, along with others. We were a non traditional school that did what worked the best in situations and didn't do belts. The structured martial arts that give out belts like taekwondo and other...
Do like I do. Everytime it is up for renewal I call them and satmybi want to cancel. They offer so so deals until they finally offer $25 for 5 months. In your case $50 is better so each time it comes up ask for that or you'll cancel. They'll fold everytime
After careful consideration I think I've come up with a wonderful idea to add additional subwoofers to my room. Can someone recommend to me a hanging bracket that I can place the subwoofer on and hang it from my ceiling in the upper corners of my room? I'm thinking if I can keep it off the floor...
Possibly a portable solution. Put it up during listening and back down otherwise. Something maybe that can be set on top of the cube storage. Ignore the curtains, they are to be replaced.
I have a 4k television but that's because at the time we looked at TVs for our new house, that is what was mainly available and the price was reasonable. For that type technology I let the dust settle. If my wife's TV goes down and 8k is out and reasonable priced, like 4k is now, then I'll buy it.
I am being talked out of the subwoofer. Not for the heck of it at the time, I thought this was going to be doable in back corners and help the system. It seem not. So then I won't spend the money. So may need to look at some other changes I wanted to do. This should be my long term system so...
Thanks @Flint . Not about self worth. Just learning new things. I have time to evaluate my room before even considering my next change or upgrade. The sub was just a consideration since from a dollar standpoint, it was a sub $1,000 spend. The preamp and amps, based on my recent upgrade are not...
Not happening this year and in reality, that price point is too high. Every spec I see of the Monolith 7 channel says it basically is spot on. So $1.4k cheaper is more like it
