Depends on the amp. A lightweight design built to just tap power coming from the line......well that sounds about right. Class D for ex. An older larger amp with huge power supply and filter caps...could do more. But you may need a larger breaker. Don't take what I say as gospel either lol...

Or the ones that need 220v. I still even smell a bit of snake oil there. Now my main soundguy has a Crest 9001. That think has been known to trip breakers on turnon. But it's a 100 lb + amp with 6600W bridge mono. I'm skeptical of a plate coming close to what that beast does.

Subwoofer as a statement piece in the room

Wards, your screen is a good bit smaller than your sub lol! Maybe you could squeeze a pull down in between those electrostatics? For night time movie watching? Nice gear though! Real nice.

In other words, it's power hungry! lol I'm always a little wary of outrageous peak power claims. 4500? 7000? Define peak power? .5 milliseconds at 50% distortion before exploding into a ball of fire? That could be considered peak power lol! I kid! Sort of...

Two bad he didn't have two! A pair of those would be a sweet DIY project. Looks like a beast. How much power I wonder would it take to drive that?

Craig is a bit of a rockstar in the online subwoofer world. 8-) Think of him as Gene Simmons but having an unusually large woofer instead of tongue. Search "Craigsub" in google or other search engines.

What is this thing called a subwoofer?

It isn't everyday that the admin wants to go off topic lol! In other news I'm building my fourth DIY sub, and hopefully making room on the calendar to go audition some Pro 10s. Oh wait! Pro 10s should go in the "Speaker" section. Looks like I did it too! I gotta catch up on all the movies...

You can only wear one pair of shoes at a time. However, you can listen to multiple subs at once.

Craig a subwoofer is something you buy when your wife has bought too many shoes. or other things we think it is ridiculous for women to spend money on. It evens out the world in a special way.
